Hi,

I have a prosumer digicam ...Fuji S7000z, that offers a zoom ring on the fixed lens, but won't record a photo while the lens is being zoomed.

I would like to achieve some photos with a zoom effect, similar to what can be obtained with a manual zoom lens on an SLR.

I looked for a filter in PS cs2 and can't find one there and just wondered if anyone might have a suggestion on this ...other than investing in a new camera.

Cheers!

Can you be more specific about the effect you want, as zoom means different things to different people. You may get some replies if you can post a piccie of the effect you need to apply:confused:

Found it! In CS2 it is Filter/Blur/Radial Blur.

Thanks for offering to help.

Here's what I was trying to do:

If you got to Filter>blur>Radial Blur that one may give you some what of the effect you are looking for... alltho in order to get that affect you may need to add a few filters to get all the peaces you are looking for. Like use Radial blur... and a little bit of a zoomed blur (it is in the same filter as Radial blur) then use a layer mask in order to bring out the center of the photo and maybe color out the edges withe a paint brush. :D hope this helps some
