View Full Version : round corners for use on web page
when i create an image to use for a rounded corner of a table on a web page, the edge of the curve is pixelated when displayed on the web (same goes when i stroke the corner).
are these little images generally saved at a greater resoluion? does save as a gif jpeg or png impact the quality?
thanks
i ended up creating a 5x5 in, 300 dpi document. created a circle that touched all four edges, colored the entire doc except one corner that was not part of the selection. I resized the image to 50x50 pixels and saved it as .png. i used this image for all four corners of my table by rotating it 90 degs. for each subsiquent corner. image size was small ~ 3k, rez good, so i went w/it.
Sorry I didn't get to reply sooner! When I need round corners for something, I always start out with a vector shape.
Click and hold the vector shape tool and pick the rounded edge version, then draw it to whatever size you need. You can rasterize the vector once you get the size perfect, so you don't have to worry about pixelation. You can also Command click the layer to get a selection (PC: Ctrl click).
