Down & Dirty Coming to Indianapolis

If you live in or around the Indianapolis area, mark your calendars because in a few weeks I will be bringing the Photoshop CS4 Down & Dirty seminar tour to your area on August 10. I am super excited to continue the seminar tour especially in one of the few cities I have yet to visit. This is a full day of nothing but Photoshop awesomeness!! We will explore techniques that will allow you to create jaw-dropping effects made so popular in tv, movies, and magazines. Perhaps even a few surprises along the way. Don’t miss out as these events have been selling out fast. You can register for the event and get more info including prices, show materials, and future seminar dates by checking out the Kelby Training Live site. We are constantly adding new cities to the tour so keep checking back for a seminar near you. Have a great weekend!!!

Shark week next week. Have you seen the ads? Test is watery with lots of small bubbles. Future tut? Keep up the good work, this is very inspirational for me as a newby.

SUPER tour! Just left and it’s shame it’s over. I hope to go back again!! Corey is a great instructor and very patient. Gotta love the short cuts.

Create A Composite Layer

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.

Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
