Down & Dirty Coming to Ft. Lauderdale!

This Friday December 4th I will be in Ft. Lauderdale presenting the Photoshop CS4 Down & Dirty tour. We are getting very close to wrapping this tour up for the year. There is only one more date scheduled after this one. It will be on December 9th in Jacksonville. Which will be presented by Dave Cross the Canadian Boss. So if you are in or around either of these cities do come out and join us and learn the newest techniques to take your work to the next level in no time at all. The really cool thing about this seminar is that you can apply what you learn immediately. There is still room so sign up today. Click here for more info.

Create A Composite Layer

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.

Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
