Make sure that you have the Foreground To Transparent gradient selected. Not the Foreground to Background!!

Hi,

working through your awesome tutorials, I’ve stumbled upon one problem I cannot solve: Trying to apply the gradients as described, to soften the image, only the last gradient I apply sticks, canceling out the previous…this way, in my mask I see only one gradient applied, not multiple as it should be?
What am I doing wrong? (I’m on PS 7). Your input would be greatly appreciated!! Many thanks for your great work!

Hi Corey
This is a good sample of a silhouette. Could you please send me the picture or jpg of the dove? I have pictures of movie stars, but not a dove. When I use a dove from the internet this lesson doesn’t work.
