Calling All Creatives!!!
The Photoshop User Awards are back on. Once again, it is your time to shine. Enter your best work in any of the 11 different categories, such as general photography, illustration, advertising, student work, etc. The winner from each category will win a prize package valued at over $2,500 and the grand prize winner will win a trip to shoot pictures in Hawaii and have their image appear on the cover of Photoshop User Magazine. There is a $35 fee per entry ($25 for NAPP members) so don’t waste time, show the world your best work. You never know what will come from it. Find out more about the contest rules here.

Create A Composite Layer
If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.
Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
